As Summer comes to a close and we begin another year of homeschooling, I stared at our family calendar, wondering how to add hours to our days. Six children (including a toddler, 2 teens, and a handful of in-betweens) keep us running, sometimes, without leaving home. One bad habit we've picked up the last few months, is drive-thru dinners. Pizza (too often), tacos, burgers, whatever. It's expensive, horribly unhealthy, and honestly, it's getting reaaaalllly old. It's not even that convenient!

A friend of ours started posting about Wildtree. Sure, it's a direct sales company, but even more importantly, their company represents a lifestyle change! I can pre-buy a "bundle" of flavored oils and spice mixes, get a convenient shopping list for proteins and extras, get freezer labels printed for me, and put it all together at a fun workshop with friends. Best of all, I leave the workshop with 10 (yes, TEN) meals, packed neatly in gallon freezer bags, all ready to tuck away for busy nights ahead. YES PLEASE. Even better? No GMO's, no HFCS, no nasty fillers/preservatives/MSG/etc, and mostly organic products, plus, most are gluten-free. SIGN ME UP.

And so that's exactly what I  did. I signed up! To be a Wildtree Rep myself. I wanted all access and a discount for my own products! After sharing the company with a few friends, they're interested too. Because after all, everyone has to eat. Single or married, 1 kid, 8 kids, or no kids, everyone's gotta eat. And someone has to make sure that everyone eats. And with a house full of kids, homeschool to plan, laundry to do, a house to clean, errands to run, closets to organize...need I go on? Oh yes. And sports--football, volleyball...then the holiday season...well, I love cooking, but often find it impossible to spend the time I need to spend to get healthy meals on our table every.single.day.

Enter Wildtree. In addition to the Freezer Meal Workshops (FMW's), which fill my freezer (and I can do them with friends or on my own when it's convenient for me), I have a whole catalog full of amazing spice mixes, dip mixes (ready for the holidays!), infused oils, quick baking mixes, etc. After immersing myself in the product catalog and samples, I am even more excited. I already loved the meals we've made (as did our entire family--yes, every one of us!), but now I'm beginning to see creative ways I can use Wildtree seasonings and mixes to fit our budget and our schedule. And tweak their recipes AND my own. But if I can't cook, it's going to be great to keep a freezer full of meals on hand. And since many of my favorite recipes are beginning to feel overused, I am pretty excited about my Wildtree recipe binder.

I picked up a binder, inserted some scrapbook paper to personalize the binder cover, then filled it with labeled pocket dividers and page protectors. Then I got busy searching the Wildtree website for recipes matching the products I have--or plan to buy. Print, place in sleeve, and voila! Personalized Wildtree cookbook for me to use.
